Mission

The main mission of the VLD is to provide task fulfilment in the area:

Teaching Process:

• cooperation with the Faculties and Departments of the TUZVO for all study programmes and fields of study,
• providing hands-on training in the specific, technological and focus area,
• providing trainings for final theses (Bachelor, Master or PhD theses), operational and practice prior to the thesis writing.

Science and Research:

• interactive cooperation with the Faculties and Workplaces of the TUZVO, in solving tasks in the area of science and research,
• providing the premises and work conditions for the science and research.

Technical development:

• designing, constructing and producing teaching aids, prototypes of wooden and mechanical engineering products,
• providing laboratory trials, experimental verification of material, machines, tools, machine and device prototypes.

Operational area:

• providing services for the TUZVO by focusing on technical and human resources.

Business activities:

• output implementation in science and research and other services according to the customer orders and contract associates of the Centre of Implementation of the VDL of the Technical University in Zvolen,
• the majority of activities are the sharpening and maintenance of woodcutting tools,
• these services have very good references and are used by the regular and new costumers.
