SlovenčinaThe Developmental Workshops and Laboratories (also known as the VDL) are very important organisational part of the Technical University in Zvolen because it provides requested specimens for researchers but also the opportunity of experience learning. The students of the University have a chance to work on the premises of the VDL and after completing the training of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), the students can create and produce products and present them within their hands-on training.

The Developmental Workshops and Laboratories (VDL) have belonged to the organisational parts of the Technical University in Zvolen since 1971, when the construction of the laboratories, complex of hall and offices with the total area of 8,100 m2 was finished.
The mission of the VDL has been developed according to the education process and researches focus of the University of Forestry and Wood Technology (VSLD); the present Technical University in Zvolen (TUZVO).
